6월 6일부터 2박했고, 오프닝 패키지로 성인 조식 2인 포함에 오프닝 이벤트로 어린이 조식 무료라서 이틀간 4인가족이 비교적 저렴한 느낌이로 이용했네요.

풀북이었는지 조식 시간을 7시부터 12시까지로 잡았는데, 7시부터 들어가는 사람이 많았고 8시쯤부터는 대기해서 들어가는 모습이었습니다. 객실규모에 비해 뷔페 테이블이 좀 적다는 느낌이 들긴 하네요.

조식 구성은 평범한데, 시리얼&샐러드, 햄류는 꽤나 다양해서 좋았고 주스는 매일 조금씩 달라지는데 맛있는 맛들이네요. 특히 서버가 직접 내려주는 커피가 좋았네요. 이틀간 에스프레소는 1잔씩 마셨고 첫날은 아이스 아메리카노를 다음 날은 아이스 카페라떼를 마셔보았는데 만족스러웠습니다. 그외에도 베이커리류가 상당히 다양하게 비치되어 있네요. 메밀전병 및 순두부 등 '강원도'하면 떠오르는 메뉴들도 있었구요.

베이컨/소세지/후라이 등 호텔 조식하면 떠오르는 기본 메뉴들은 무난해서 패키지가 아니고 개별로 지불해서 먹기에는 가격이 꽤 높은 느낌이었지만 패키지로 먹기에는 괜찮네요.

전망, 인테리어는 좋습니다. 음식의 종류는 많지 않지만 깔끔합니다. 석식은 가격에 비해서 이용할 가치는 별로입니다. 바로 옆 롯데리조트 마키노차야와 비교해서도요. 조식은 먹을만합니다. 조식 시간에 대해 컴플레인을 많이 받아서인지 매니저의 대응이 굉장히 방어적이네요. 재방문 의사는 없습니다.

상대적으로 저렴한 디너 (12만원?) / 비싼 조식 (6-7만원)
이 정도 사전 정보를 가지고 방문

우선 가짓수는 많지 않다,
모든 음식을 맛볼 수 있어 식사를 마치고 아쉽지 않을 정도
가기 전에 제일 궁금했던 정보인 "시간 제한 여부" 시간 제한은 없었다 그냥 들어가서 식사 기작하고 영업시간 내로 나오면 됨
그래서 아이들과 뷔페 가면 2시간 제한 등으로 인해 항시 분주했던 식사와 비교하면 정말 여유 있게 식사를 할 수 있었다

초밥은 종류가 다양하지 않고 비쥬얼이 화려하진 않았으나 무난하게 맛이 괜찮았다
속초의 신선한 해산물은 회보다는.. 오징어 게
오징어튀김이 정말 부드러웠고 꽃게 수율도 괜찮았다
그 외 먹물 오징어 빠에야, 홍게라면 등 다른 호텔과 차별점을 둘 수 있는 로컬 느낌을 잘 살린 음식들이 몇가지 눈에 띄었고 상대적으로 너무나 고급스러워 부담되었던 아이스크림을 비롯 브라우니, 오렌지, 양미리구이 정도 기억에 남는다

전체적으로 뭔가 조금 부족한 애매한 느낌은 분명히 있고 테이블 간의 간격이 너무 좁다 이용객이 많지 않았어서 그렇지 조금이라도 붐볐다면 대환장파티였을 듯
프라이빗한 측면에서는 문제가 많다 (호텔객실도, 식당도)
탄산수 및 물 이외에는 무료 제공되는 음료는 커피 뿐 (투숙객 맥주 제공도 모든 투숙객에 해당되지는 않았다 쿠폰 있어야 함)
아이들이 원했던 주스는 추가 차지가 필요하다 하여 미리 가져온 뽀로로음료를 먹였는데 그것까지 제한을 받지는 않았다
아이들이 먹을 수 있는 음식도 제한이 있다 된장국 미역국 등 기본적으로 있는 음식들이 없어서 전복죽 기반으로 먹일 수 밖에 없었다

결론적으로, 상대적으로 (다른 호텔 뷔페와 비교) 저렴한 가격이긴 하나, 그에 맞게 부족한 음식 가짓수, 음료 제한 등 가격 메리트가 상쇄되는 느낌을 받았고
여유있는 시간과 대비하여 공간적 제약이 아쉬운 그런 곳이었다

I really enjoyed the hotel breakfast buffet. Wide selection, and the food was actually hot and good! Coffee is freshly prepared by the barista on duty as well. The food was so good we spent 1.5hr here savoring our meal~
